Existerium is a journey through existence, weaving together episodic qualities of environmental sounds of the human lifecycle.

Rather than a series of isolated chapters, Existerium follows a somewhat chronological path that can be read as one human lifespan while echoing a broader evolutionary pulse seen in all living beings. Transitioning through Birth, Adolescence, and Adulthood, the piece plays with and questions the rigidity of these stages as ontogenetic concepts by introducing violent ruptures or free-flowing shifts at these intersections of life.

All sounds stem from personal field recordings that throughout the piece transition from their pure form to synthetically obscured, recognizing the continuity and non-linearity of existence and that life is never identical and never guaranteed.
